Farms

🌿 Farms – Long Life for Organic Herbs & Seeds
At Long Life for Organic Herbs & Spices, farming is not merely a business activity; it is a deeply rooted philosophy and a lifelong commitment to nature, quality, and sustainability. The owners of Long Life are among the true pioneers who introduced and established organic farming practices in Egypt more than twenty years ago, at a time when organic agriculture was still unfamiliar to most farmers and consumers in the region.
From the very beginning, our founders believed that the future of food production depends on respecting the land, preserving natural resources, and producing clean, safe, and nutritious crops without the use of harmful chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. This belief became the cornerstone upon which Long Life for Organic Herbs & Spices was built.
🌱 A Strong Agricultural Base
Today, we are proud to manage and operate a total agricultural area of 1,100 acres registered as fully organic land. Out of this total:
-
500 acres are officially registered as our own farms, owned and directly operated by Long Life.
-
The remaining 600 acres are cultivated by carefully selected organic suppliers who work exclusively under our continuous technical management and strict supervision.
All of these lands are certified organic and cultivated in full compliance with international organic farming standards.
This dual structure — combining company-owned farms with supervised contract farms — allows us to maintain both full control over quality and scalability of production, ensuring that we can meet the growing demands of local and international markets without compromising our strict organic principles.
🤝 Carefully Selected Organic Suppliers
Over the years, our management and agricultural teams have conducted extensive field visits across Egypt, traveling from one farming region to another to identify potential organic growers and producers. These visits were not random or superficial. They involved:
-
Detailed soil analysis
-
Water quality assessments
-
Evaluation of farming practices
-
Interviews with farmers
-
Historical land-use reviews
-
Trial cultivation and pilot harvests
Through this long and rigorous process, we reached a very clear conclusion:
We would only work with the “Best of the Best” organic suppliers.
Our partner farms are selected based on:
-
Proven experience in organic agriculture
-
Willingness to follow our technical guidelines
-
Full transparency in farming practices
-
Commitment to sustainability and ethical production
-
Ability to meet our quality and traceability standards
Once accepted, each supplier farm becomes an integrated part of the Long Life production system and is placed under our continuous supervision and technical management. Our agronomists regularly visit these farms to provide guidance, monitor crop development, and ensure strict compliance with organic standards and company protocols.
📍 Strategic Farm Locations
Our farms are located in some of Egypt’s most fertile and agriculturally renowned regions for growing herbs and spices. These locations were carefully chosen based on their soil composition, climate conditions, water availability, and historical success in herb and spice cultivation.
1️⃣ Al-Fayoum Governorate
-
EL-ESH1 Farm
-
EL-ESH2 Farm
Al-Fayoum is one of Egypt’s most famous agricultural regions, known for its fertile soil, moderate climate, and high-quality underground water sources. The area has a long tradition of cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants, making it an ideal environment for producing premium organic herbs and spices.
2️⃣ Beni-Sweif Governorate
-
AbdelAziz2 Farm
Beni-Sweif is another leading governorate in herb and spice cultivation. Its warm climate, rich alluvial soil, and stable weather conditions provide excellent growing conditions for a wide range of organic crops, including basil, chamomile, fennel, coriander, marjoram, and many other medicinal and aromatic plants.
☀️ Ideal Natural Conditions
One of Egypt’s greatest agricultural advantages is its abundant sunshine. Our farms benefit from:
-
Long daylight hours
-
Low humidity levels
-
Stable seasonal temperatures
-
Minimal rainfall during harvest periods
These natural conditions are ideal for producing herbs and spices with:
-
High essential oil content
-
Strong aroma and flavor
-
Rich color
-
Excellent drying quality
The natural climate also reduces the need for artificial interventions, allowing crops to grow in a more natural and balanced way.
🔍 Certified Organic & Continuous Inspections
All of our farms — both owned and supplier-operated — are subject to periodical and sudden inspections conducted by CERES, our official organic certification body.
These inspections include:
-
Soil testing
-
Crop sampling
-
Field audits
-
Review of farming records
-
Storage and handling checks
-
Traceability verification
CERES ensures that every step of our agricultural process complies with international organic standards, including EU, NOP (USA), and other global organic regulations where applicable.
This strict inspection system guarantees that all products labeled under Long Life for Organic Herbs & Spices are genuinely organic, safe, and fully traceable from farm to final export container.
